About
One of my favorite projects to date: a website I designed for The Midnight Gospel, built for a university course where I was learning to code. It was one of the most fun projects I've ever worked on — translating a surreal, chaotic animated world into something fully immersive on screen.
Below are all the design decisions that shaped it.

The website draws its visual and conceptual identity from the aesthetic universe of The Midnight Gospel. Every morphological decision aims to transport the user into an immersive, dreamlike, philosophical environment that echoes the show's psychedelic, existential experience.
I also drew inspiration from its technology — the computer that works as a portal into other universes, and the visual language built around it.
The palette was pulled straight from the show itself — the psychedelic colors The Midnight Gospel paints its universes in.
A saturated, vibrant, high-contrast palette, with psychedelic colors, neon, and cosmic accents. Backgrounds can carry dynamic gradients or animated textures evoking landscapes from other worlds.
Worlds
These first illustrations are the planets that populate each surreal universe the show travels through.
Interface
The following ones I designed for interface pieces — buttons, error windows, alerts — anything extra the site needed.
Characters
These are the show's characters, originally designed by Pendleton Ward. Because of the resolution of the original artwork, I redrew a few illustrations of each one to keep them in line with the rest of the site.

Btw — I built this before any advanced AI could. I learned to understand code and JavaScript, and to this day I'm still tweaking and improving this site!
Both this page and the site itself are made to be explored, so feel free to play around with your mouse, press buttons, and look closely.
